    Re: Resale value

Yeah, this is kind of what I'm figuring through research and discussions. The boat's basically perfect, just normal wear and tear for 40 hours of use (if it can even have any other than the hull...

    Re: Resale value

Kevin, I need your help selling my boat. I'll be in contact sometime soon to discuss the circumstances and work out a deal with you to sell it for me. I can't do it myself.

You should post the fix...I have the same problem, I just don't complain because I never use the boat, LOL.

    Lime Green Lostmen?

Few weeks ago I saw a lime green Lostmen pulling out of a boat ramp between the bridges of Hilton Head, SC, think it was a Land Cruiser/LX570 towing it...any idea who this may have been?

Happened to mine too after about 18 months and 30 hours, entire fuse block had corroded. Of course it wasn't discovered until I was at the ramp and nothing would work. I replaced it and heavily...

Change the photo gallery, drives me nuts when I have no control over the image being displayed. If I want to look at one longer, I have to wait for it to rotate through again.

    Re: Keys Action

When I was down in the Keys in August, the dock behind where I stayed (shallow) had bonefish and a lot of other nice fish hanging around. Really made me wish I had a rod and reel!

    Re: Cranking battery drained?

I have dealt with this from day one. The starting battery is the most problematic of the two and has trouble holding a charge beyond a month or so. Even the warranty replacement battery is not much...

Re: Smart Guys that know about towing capacities

If you want to take that risk in today's litigious society, you are a brave man.

I know of many vehicles that have class III hitches and yet are rated to tow less than 5k pounds. I don't doubt...

    Re: advantage?

It is definitely nice stuff but I cannot see spending the money to have an existing boat whose nonskid is in good shape retrofitted with AwlGrip.

Re: 50 Honda: EFI vs. Carb'd?

Carbs are a PITA from a maintenance standpoint, go EFI and never look back. You couldn't pay me to own an engine with a carbeurator.

    Re: wait..... what?

Oh, I'm supposed to tell you something and will do so here since we couldn't get together to fish. I'm paraphrasing here but the gist was "Don' be a crazy ass and hang a 225 on your Vantage."

    Re: Vantage getting skinny

I've done that in my Lostmen, surprised a few kayakers that thought only they could get into the shallows.

What do you think the odds are the weather would even allow us to fish Monday? Today showed a 30% chance of storms and it stormed from 9:30 until just a short while ago. Meteorologists are idiots.
  23. Re: Going up to Orlando to get fitted for the Fury this Saturday

Stability is not an issue with the 72" beam. Not quite as stable as a Lostmen but you will be able to walk around without falling overboard.

...what is your availability this weekend for fishing? I am going to be in St. Pete Beach, looking for an East Cape owner to take me fishing. I am available Friday-Monday.
