Default Wang anchor--push pole shove match???

I will preface my question by stating again, this is my first skiff...any advice is appreciated;) I noticed in the picture attached that the wang anchor pin sticks up very high even when deployed. Has anyone had an issue with the anchor being in the way when poling? I'm getting two of ECC's anchors(on the stern) and wondered if I'm going to have to fight with the pins when up--I'm also getting ECC's anchor clips that clip on the platform.

Typically the stake out pole will be mounted opposite the side you pole on. If you have stake outs on both sides I would say yes they are going to get in the way.
The IPB is gone, hoping to move into a Glide!?!?!

Sounds like I may need to leave one under the gunnel unless I'm running the trolling motor. Thanks for the input.

Not a bad idea on the two stake outs, but you will want to leave one under the gunnel until needed. Great choice on the ECS and pics are expected!!

You could always cut the pole shorter depending on how deep of water is where you plan on using it. The problem you will run into then is going to be that you may need to get down off of the platform to grab the pole to unanchor yourself.

Yeah, I'm probably going to leave one under the gunnel unless I'm trolling. I had one powerpole on my other boat and only occasionally needed an extra stick in the sand. The powerpole is a good product but in my opinion, it just isn't worth the money/extra added weight(for 2) My experience with the pp: busted hydraulic line which left oil in the hull of boat...oil slick on water everytime I unloaded because I never could get all the residue out. It constantly would get stuck in mud when deployed and I would have to assist with retrieve. Sometimes the hydraulic line would get pinched when retrieving, causing pin holes. Maybe I just got a dud?????

I think the anchor system is cool but I could never have it, I'd be hitting that thing every time I wanted to turn the boat making all kinds of noise. I know this cause I tried once to put a rod holder on the platform so I could have one standing by while poling, the rod was alway in the way. I pole on both sides and switch sides regularily while poling, I could just never have that thing there.
